Pricing and quotes
How much does a plumber cost?
Every job gets a fixed written price before any work begins, the call out fee is $0, and there are no hourly rates, so the figure you approve is the figure on the invoice. If the price does not suit, you owe nothing.
Do you charge extra for weekend or night work?
No, there are no overtime rates, so a Sunday morning callout is priced the same way as a weekday one, with the full amount fixed in writing before work starts. Nights, weekends and public holidays all cost the same as a Tuesday.
What is the $0 call out fee?
Getting a licensed plumber to your door to assess the job costs nothing. You only ever pay for work you have approved, and if you decline the quote, the visit still costs you nothing. The pricing section on the home page explains the whole structure.

Availability and licensing
Do you answer the phone at night and on weekends?
A licensed plumber answers around the clock, including weekends and public holidays, and we head out when the situation genuinely needs it rather than leaving you waiting for a callback. You speak to a person, not a machine.
Are you licensed and insured?
Every plumber on the team holds full NSW licensing under licence #275278C with insurance behind each job, and compliance certificates come with the paperwork, not on request. For gas work, the licensing is gas-specific, as the law requires.
What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?
Our workmanship is guaranteed for life, so if something we installed or repaired fails to hold up, we return and put it right at no cost to you. No questions and no fine-print window to fall out of.

Local plumbing questions
Why do drains in older streets here keep blocking?
Homes from the 1940s to 1960s often still run jointed earthenware drains, and roots from the bushland fringe find those old joints. We trace the entry point and fix that too, not just the blockage itself. Our drainage team handles the full diagnosis, from camera survey through to relining where digging can be avoided.
What should I do when a big storm floods the lower streets?
Keep clear of overflowing drains and wait for the catchment peak to pass, then call us so the silt and debris the surge pushed into your property drainage can be jetted out and flow-tested. The stormwater page explains how we handle catchment overload.
Is my hot water system too old to repair?
Plenty of post-war and mid-century homes here still run tanks well past their service life. We test the element, valves and tank condition first, then quote a repair where that is the honest answer rather than a stopgap. If yours has already quit, the no hot water page covers what to do right now.
Can you work in units and retirement villages?
Yes. Between the walk-up blocks along the commercial corridor and the suburb's aged-care facilities, a good share of our work happens in strata-managed buildings, scheduled around residents with common areas protected.
Do you handle gas work?
We do, from gas hot water systems to leak response, all under gas-fitting licensing with leak testing and compliance certificates supplied. If you can smell gas right now, follow the make-safe steps on the gas leaks page before you call.

Booking and coverage
How do I get a quote?
Ring (02) 9072 0528 and describe what is happening. A plumber will tell you what it likely means and when we can be there, then hand you a single fixed price in writing before anything starts. There is more about the team on our about page if you want the background first.
Which areas do you cover?
We work across the suburb itself and the surrounding Northern Beaches, including Balgowlah, Allambie Heights, North Manly, Brookvale and Seaforth, with the same fixed pricing and licensing in every one. If you are just outside those, ask, because the vans move around the area daily.
What if I am not sure how serious the problem is?
Call anyway. Describing a slow drain or a lukewarm shower over the phone costs nothing, and the plumber who answers can tell you whether it is a watch-and-wait job or needs a visit today. The emergency plumbing hub sets out what genuinely cannot wait.
